The Dawes Windrush was the forerunner of the Galaxy. This bike was re-built in the 1980’s and incorrectly labelled a Galaxy. Research suggests the frame is an early Windrush 8 which had the derailleur shifters fitted to the top tube. Later models had the shifters on the down tube. Since the late 1990’s the bike has spent most of the time in storage in a spare bedroom.
It is time it was enjoyed by someone.
